Wild Weather

We have had BEAUTIFUL weather lately and we took out our awning to shade the trailer during the day because of the heat. A "small" storm was coming through and so we really didn't worry about the awning because there wasn't much wind and there wasn't expected to be much rain. We heard the rain start before we went to bed. Around 2am we hear a huge crash that shakes our trailer and wakes us up. At first we weren't sure what had happened. Brent went outside and when he opened the door, he realized that the awning was against the door. It had rained so hard that water had pooled in the middle of the awning and it snapped the middle beam that ran across the front. When it snapped, it came and slammed back into the trailer. It actually hit our water cooler, and did no other damage to the trailer. But, now we are without an awning. Brent was able to roll it up so we could get in and out, eventually getting it all the way up. Right now we are ok, but we don't have the money to replace it. This summer it will be hot, but hopefully we can spend a lot of time in the pool.
