Project

I have recently discovered Pintrest online and have become an addict. I found this simple yet too cute craft there and had to try it with a few of my friends.

Materials for each person
1 1x8 board
black spray paint
8 Metal clasps (Walmart 2-$1.88)
Wood glue
Picture Hangers
Vinyl Lettering

I had Brent pick out our wood and then I spray painted them in our garage.
It did take a few coats to cover them completely.

Once the paint was dry, we put our picture fasteners in first.
(Yes I did this myself! I used the electric screw driver and everything!)
We then measured out where we wanted our clips and used the wood glue to secure them.
They had to dry over night.

A friend of ours cuts vinyl and made me this sign!  I had her make mine bigger to fit the space better.

We LOVE it!  It fits in our office area perfectly!

Tick Tock, Tick Tock

What was August?  THE LONGEST MONTH OF MY LIFE!  We are still patiently waiting for our home to close. Each step gets us closer, but the waiting game is putting more and more stress on our current situation here at my parents home. As they prepare for my brother's wedding we continue to tip toe around each other, hoping that we can make it through the weekend without saying or doing anything that will cause permanent damage. It is sort of like living in a mine field, never knowing when you are going to step in the wrong place and blow up.

The kids are starting to feel the stress too. My older girls have been crying at night, wondering if we are ever going to move like we promised we would. Danielle needs her own space. At 9 she is JUST like her mother, who enjoys at least a few quiets minutes to herself everyday. That's hard to do when you share an office turned into a bedroom with your 3 younger siblings. Hannah is our sensitive one and worries we won't have any place to live. Although we continue to reassure her, her fears still pop up when the lights go out at night.

Brent and I attended the temple Wednesday morning in hopes to find some peace in this whole situation. The bank  has said they are selling the house to us. It's just when they feel like getting us the paper work. Brent and I aren't sleeping well either and the stress is starting to bring us down a bit. I've prayed for patience, compassion, love, etc daily to overcome this ordeal. My only saving grace is that if this EVER goes through we can live there till we die and I will never have to do this again.

Quote of the moment

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of
everything. .... They just make the best of everything."
