May the FORCE be with you

Happy
Halloween!

This year we decided to be Star Wars characters. The kids looked really cute and had fun with our theme. We often caught Danielle and Ben fighting with their light savers.

Dani - Darth Vader (appropriate these days), Sydney - Pheonix, Camden - Astronaut, Hannah - Princess Leah
Ben - Luke Skywalker, and Bree - Ewok

The force is strong in this one.

THE WEDDING!

It finally arrived!  October 22nd. The day of my brother's wedding! There had been so much preparation, so many details handled, everyone with the right outfits, accessories, hair, etc! Because our house STILL had not closed, we even had to move to LaNell and Robert's for the week so that my sister's family could stay with my parents. It was a bit crowded, but everything turned out perfectly.

Getting our hair done. Jen Reynoso (my adopted daughter) is going through beauty school and offered to do our hair for the wedding. She did a phenomenal job!

Field trip with Ben!

I had the privilege of accompanying Ben and his class on their field trip to the dairy. Ben loved that I got to go. We road on a charter bus "WITH TV!"  When we arrived the kids had snack and then we took a tour of the factory. Each kids got to make their own ice cream. Ben had a great time and I did too. At his school we have to pay for field trips for the kids and if we want to chaperone, then the parents have to pay too. It gets costly, so Brent and I have never gone. But we decided that Ben really needed one of us there so I got to go this time. It was a very special day to spend with Ben and I'm grateful I got to go!

Quote of the moment

The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of
everything. .... They just make the best of everything."
