Aquarium fun

Day two we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium 

(trying to put to use those passes!) 

After, we walked over to one of mine and Brent's favorite restaurants, Bubba Gumps.

The kids loved learning how to use the signs and we even got 3 out of the 4 to enjoy eating shrimp!  

My sentiments exactly!

So we grabbed a cookie for the trip home. 

I love these quick trips with my kids. We all get to relax, have fun with each other, and just enjoy being a family. I'm grateful to have these memories as my kiddos grow older. I hope they will someday look back and remember how much fun it was too. 

Quick Trip to Montery

Feeling a little claustrophobic at home after the holidays we decided to take a quick trip over to Monterey for a few days. We got a cheap hotel on the beach that included breakfast. 

 Our first official day we drove down Highway 1. The coast was beautiful!  Hannah wasn't feeling too well, but all of the kids were real troopers!

Cousins day

Our first Reich cousin's day!  We started by taking pictures with everyone and then we went to Boomers and did just about everything we could. We had a great time together and are beginning to appreciate each other as adults. It's fun to sit around and talk with each other when we are all at such different spots in life. Christie, Nathan, and I married with kids. Kenny and Janae pregnant with their first baby. Adam and Ashleigh engaged planing a wedding. Our group was little on the smaller side because half of us got the flu (Namen, Shelby, Samantha, and Katie). We are very excited though to be getting together on a more regular basis.

Christmas Day Fun

Santa came in the night...
