New Look

Saturday after Thanksgiving, Brent decided he needed to finish up the kids beds. Here is what they looked liked the first time Brent got them up. You can't see it, but to the right is a ladder that the girls would use to climb in and out. We didn't like how the kids had to use a real ladder and there was no really safe way for Hannah to get in and out of bed. Their beds were also very messy all of the time and stuff was constantly falling out all over.

Brent took the 3 kids to Home Depot to get the supplies that he needed. He then came back and after a few hours...Viola! Safer, cleaner, and much cooler bunk beds! Each of the kids love their new bunks. Brent went to staples and bought office storage containers and then screwed them into the sides and ends of the bed for the kids to store papers, crayons, pencils, toys, etc. Now not only are their beds "way awesome," but they have much more room to sleep.
Brent's other underlying goal was to move Bree into the kids room and out of our bedroom. We (meaning I) jumped up every time she made a little noise to make sure that she wasn't going to wake up. I wasn't sleeping well and neither was Brent. I was very hesitant about this one, but Brent said he would do the night duties while she got used to it. We moved the monitor into our room and she slept with her siblings that night.
Of course she didn't go to bed right away and still stayed up to watch some TV with Mom and Dad! She did fine and we all survived, including me.
