Sunday we slept in again (because who really wants to get up when you don't have to!). We then took a drive along the Apache Trail. We sort of accidentally took the long way to get there, and on our way happened to pass right by the Mesa Temple! It was Sunday, so closed. We thought about swinging back by there on our way back to take a few pictures and never made it. But we did see it!
Just on Apache Trail.

Cool mining town that we stopped at. Would have been where the kids had the most fun! We picked up some gifts for them and some fudge for me!

Late Lunch at the end of the trail (or where the road turns to dirt and I said No WAY will I continue to drive on a dirt road for 40 miles). We ate at the Superstition Saloon, where every tourist and local come to eat when you are on the trail. On the way there we past by a big lake where many people were out boating, fishing, swimming, and barbecuing.

Inside the saloon, people leave a dollar bill with their name on it to say that they have been there. Everything is covered in them! We also thought the saddles at the bar was kind of original.

After lunch we had a nice drive back. Right off the trail we did something that neither of us had ever done before, a DWI check point! Yep, they were diverting everyone coming off the trail, (many who had been on the lake and had been drinking) to ask them some questions and take a few tests. They let us go threw with just the questions, but man were they ready! The probably had about 30 officers out there and 4 or 5 spots to pull into to be questioned. It was definitely a different way to end the day!
We grabbed some dinner on the way back, read some of our book together, and watched another movie. I love relaxing!
