Christmas eve we always attend service at the Presbyterian Church that I grew up in and that my parents still attend. It's always nice to hear the story of Christ's birth and watch the sanctuary slowly light up as the candle light is passed from person to person.
Back at home we tried to take a few nicer pictures. Ben was having non of it.

We had a buffet style dinner with lots of appetizers, rolls, and prime rib. We had family from both sides attend. Here is Kelly and Madison having dinner.
Aubree was very smitten with Jocelyn, my cousin Namen's girlfriend. Bree is watched by Namen's sister Janae, and Jocelyn sort of looks like her. Well, we are pretty sure it was enough to fool Bree for the night.
Our tradition is that everyone has to pick a Christmas carol that we all sing before opening presents. My dad's family were really good sports and all participated. We then let the kids open their presents and then sent them to watch a movie, while the adults played a present game amongst ourselves.
Christie, Emma, and Shelby (and Lee)
All the kids got snuggies and fun socks.
We had a great Christmas Eve with a little of everything: faith, family, and food. What more could you ask for?
